Camp Liberty 2026: 17–20 September

During Camp Liberty 2026, the history of the Second World War comes to life. In an authentic encampment, visitors can meet reenactors and veterans and see historic vehicles and equipment. This accessible public event brings together remembrance, education and an immersive experience.

- A tour of historic vehicles through local villages.
- An original Bailey bridge – construction and crossings on foot or by jeep.
- Demonstrations with tracked vehicles and tanks on an off-road course.
- Artillery demonstrations featuring a Long Tom and other historic artillery.
- A large historic bivouac with reenactment.
- A unique German bivouac and historic vehicles.
- Militaria and spare-parts fair.
- A lively marquee with catering, a terrace and live performances.
Camp Liberty is a cultural and historical event that brings the history of the Second World War to life in an accessible and respectful way. In an authentic encampment, visitors can experience what everyday life was like for soldiers, civilians and resistance groups in the 1940s, with a particular focus on the meaning of freedom, cooperation and remembrance.
The event combines reenactment, historic vehicles, equipment and educational interpretation to create a coherent experience.
